Pass-thru Programming

Below you will find the Amulet Pass-thru programming documentation. This feature enables you to program a pre-compiled Amulet project file (.pdb) generated by any version of Amulet's HTMLCompiler through an external processor.

	This zip file includes a text file, a pdf document, and an additional zip file. The text file provides the basics you need to know to program the Amulet chip from an external processor. The pdf file documents the actual protocol used to program the Amulet. The zip file steps you through analyzing a small Amulet generated .pdb project file.

Windows PC

Below you will find the Amulet Programmer for installation on PCs running Windows 95 or above. If running Windows Vista, then you must use AmuletProgrammer version 3.3.5 or later. This utility enables you to program any pre-compiled Amulet project file (.uht or .pdb) generated by any version of Amulet's HTMLCompiler.

Important note regarding Windows Vista. Only versions 3.3.5 and later are "Vista Compatible". Earlier versions do not support Windows Vista. Sun's JVM Version 6 is also required to use Vista's Premium features like Windows Flip 3D.

	This setup file installs the Amulet Programmer on your Windows PC. The Amulet Programmer is in essence an HTMLCompiler that can only load and program .uht or .pdb files. It cannot compile .html pages. This is free software that can be freely distributed. No licensing agreement necessary. A Sun Java Virtual Machine is required. If you do not already have a Java Virtual Machine, you can download it separately below.

JVM Downloads

Sun's JVM Version 1.4.2_03
		Sun's JVM 1.4.2 (10.8 MB)
	This JVM is Amulet specific and will not replace any existing JVM on your machine. If you already have a "jvm" folder located in the root AmuletProgrammer directory, you do not need this download. This version of JVM does not support some of Windows Vista's premium features, such as Windows Flip3D.

Palm OS

Below you will find the Amulet Field Update Utility for installation on PDAs that use the Palm OS. This utility enables you to store Amulet Graphic OS project files onto your PDA and to use those files to program the flash on the Amulet Module.

	This zip file includes a ReadMe.html file and an Amulet.prc file. The ReadMe.html file provides an overview for installing the Amulet.prc file on your PDA and using it with Amulet Amulet hardware and software. The utility will install on all PDA's that have a serial port and use the Palm OS. It is compatible with Amulet Compiler version 2.1.7 and later.
