This tip demonstrates how to use the Amulet I/O Simulator Board to test a couple of sample user interfaces.
The Example
The following example walks you through the steps of compiling an existing HTML demo that interfaces to the Easy GUI  I/O Simulator Board.
Step 1
Click here or on the zip file in the " Download This Demo" section below to download the I/O Simulator Board HTML demo.
Step 2
Extract the contents of the zip file you downloaded in Step 1 to your hard drive and be sure to use folder names the zip file has created for path purposes.
Step 3
Use the Amulet HTMLCompiler to open and compile " demoBoard.html" from the hard drive location you specified in Step 2.
Step 4
Ensure the Amulet module is powered and connected to your PC's serial port via the serial cable. Click the " Program FLASH" button. Figure 1 shows what " demoBoard.html" should look like on your Amulet module once it is flashed.

Figure 1.
Step 5
Disconnect the serial cable from your PC's serial port and connect it to the Amulet I/O Simulator Board. Now turn on the power to the Amulet I/O Simulator Board via the slider switch just above the green LED.
The first red LED (far left) is used as a serial communications indicator and should be blinking on and off to show that the Amulet module and the Easy GUI  I/O Simulator Board are exchanging data back and forth.
Rotate the POTS (POT1-POT4) and toggle the slider switches (SW5-SW2) on the Amulet I/O Simulator Board to see the user interface update instantly on the Amulet module.
To play a series of musical keynotes on the pizeo speaker, either click on the " Speaker Notes" text on the user interface or press the " Piano" button to load a piano uHTML page. Figure 2 shows what " piano.html" looks like on the Amulet module once it is loaded.

Figure 2.
By default, clicking on any of the piano keys will play a designated keynote for a duration of .5 seconds. To change the duration, rotate POT2 on the Amulet I/O Simulator Board and then press the " Set Duration" button.
