Tip  --  Using The TRIGGER.GT & TRIGGER.LT Tags

This tip demonstrates how to use the TRIGGER.GT and TRIGGER.LT parameters to limit the min and max values of an internal RAM variable.

The Example

The Amulet screen shot in Figure 1 uses two image icons for incrementing and decrementing the value stored at Internal RAM variable 0. A numeric field widget is used to request and display the value stored at Internal RAM variable 0. The value stored at Internal RAM variable 0 is limited to a minimum value of 60 and a maximum value of 90 by using two META tags.

Follow the steps below in order to compile and program the limit checking example into an Amulet module.

Step 1
Click here or on the zip file in the " Download this Demo" section below to download the limit checking example.

Step 2
Extract the contents of the zip file you downloaded in Step 1 to your hard drive and be sure to use folder names the zip file has created for path purposes, if any.

Step 3
Use the Amulet HTMLCompiler to open and compile " compileMe.html" from the hard drive location you specified in Step 2.

Step 4
Ensure the Amulet module is powered and connected to your PC's serial port via the serial cable. Click the " Program FLASH" button.

Step 5
Now press on the up and down image icons to test the limit checking.
