Complete Embedded UI
Systems for Modern Products

Amulet Technologies allows teams to deliver high-performance touchscreens in weeks, not years, by providing a complete hardware and software system that physically separates the user interface from your device’s core logic. By using an Interactive Digital Display Module with integrated computing and memory, the entire user interface—graphics rendering, touch processing, and screen refreshing—is offloaded from your application processor, eliminating the need for complex graphics coding and high-bandwidth display interfaces.

The Amulet Advantage: Offload the Complexity

Don’t settle for “simple” displays that consume host processor resources and complicate system design. Amulet Interactive Digital Display Modules are complete touchscreen subsystems that manage the entire UI independently, freeing your host processor to focus exclusively on core application logic.

Integrated UI Processing

The display module owns the frame buffer and manages the continuous 60 Hz refresh internally, eliminating graphics load and timing constraints on the host processor.

No High-Bandwidth Interfaces Required

By rendering graphics and managing the 60 Hz refresh rate locally, the Interactive Digital Display Module communicates via low-bandwidth serial protocols (UART, RS232, or USB). This eliminates the need for the host to provide high-bandwidth digital video interfaces—such as LVDS, MIPI, or 24-bit RGB-TTL—significantly reducing PCB complexity and integration risk.

GEMstudio™ (IDE)

Design, simulate, and iterate in a single development environment. Build production-ready UIs using visual tools and simulation instead of writing and maintaining thousands of lines of low-level graphics code.

Production-Ready Architecture

Designed for long product lifecycles, regulatory environments, and stable supply chains across medical, industrial, and professional systems.

Traditional “Simple Display”

A traditional “Simple Display” is a passive panel. It has no onboard memory or processing, requiring the host processor to maintain a full frame buffer and refresh every pixel on the screen at approximately 60 Hz. This demands significant CPU bandwidth, large memory footprints, and high-bandwidth digital video interfaces such as LVDS, MIPI, or 24-bit RGB-TTL.

Amulet Interactive Digital Display Module

An Amulet Interactive Digital Display Module is a fully autonomous UI system. It stores graphical assets locally, processes touch information independently, and refreshes the display internally. Unlike a simple display, which has no electrical connection to the touch panel, Amulet Interactive Digital Display Modules manage all touch decoding internally.

Solution Overview

Why Choose Amulet?

Accelerated Development
By removing graphics drivers, frame buffer management, and display timing from the host application, teams can prototype, test, and iterate on interfaces much faster using simulation before hardware is finalized.
Offloading UI processing enables the use of lower-cost microcontrollers instead of application-class processors, while also reducing PCB complexity and long-term maintenance overhead.
Because the UI is partitioned from core logic, interfaces can be updated, resized, or reused across product generations without rewriting or destabilizing the main application firmware.
